LA COMMANDERIE

Our house is full of history: this unique site in the Canton of Vaud, whose facade is now classified as a historical monument, used to serve as a sort of command center for the Order of the Templars of Saint John of Jerusalem, in 1250. It also served as a hostel for pilgrims and knights.

When we acquired the property in 2007, we knew that templars had been based there but we were not aware of the former activity as a hostel and simply pursued our project of a Bed&Breakfast.
In order to account for the original character of the property and following our dream, we started renovation works in 2013 and officially inaugurated the „Commanderie” in July 2015.

Through the fulfillment of our dream, we keep writing the story hundreds of years later.
By creating the Bed&Breakfast, we actually gave a wink to history.
